I often use old reclaimed vintage glass. There may be some imperfections on glass surfaces, but it only adds character to each piece.
Why does the packing material my item came in look used?
In order to reduce my carbon footprint, I reuse packing material whenever possible -this may include an old amazon box. Just trying to save the planet over here!
What’s the lead situation?
All of my work contains lead. Please wash hands after handling. Keep out of reach from kids.
Why the disclaimer on window suction cups?
Most of my work comes with a window suction cup. Although I've been using suction cups for years there is ALWAYS the chance of it failing. If installed properly, I do think it can be a great solution to hanging something from a window -especially when an item is lightweight-.
Proper suction cup install:
-ALWAYS Windex glass surface & suction cup- immediately place onto window
-using pressure, push center of suction against window- make sure air bubbles have been squeezed out.
-give the hook a few tugs to make sure it has a good grip.
Suction cups make me nervous…
As an alternative to a suction cup I recommend a screw or a hook drilled directly into the window frame. Hang piece with fishing line or chain.
How do I clean my stained glass item?
I find the best way to keep glass clean is with a dry microfiber rag. Windex (ammonia free preferred) can also be used if necessary.
